My Coaching Philosophy
I believe that the prize is in the process, not on the other side of it. The journey’s where we learn about ourselves and that’s where power lies. This belief has allowed me to fully celebrate not only my wins, but my effort- something I can take pride in no matter the outcome.
Have you ever been so focused on a result, doing everything you can to make it happen only to find that it didn’t quite come together? It can be crushing. That’s not to say we can’t set goals, but we can also reframe our goals so that success can be defined by more than a scale or a score alone.
When I first started my fitness journey the wins came easily, and I thought that because I could take on more, I should. That’s the way progress works, right? But more isn’t better. Better is better. Pretty soon I found myself underfed, under-rested, and overworked.
When I do something, I want to do it well. But I realized that it doesn’t matter how quickly I get there if I can’t keep it. And that started my journey of exploring fitness for life.
I love the empowerment that comes with fitness, and it’s a huge reason I became a coach- I want to share this feeling with as many people as I can!
My goal is to help people play the fitness and health game for keeps. It takes time. It can be uncomfortable. It’s always worth it. Let me help you find the prizes in your process.
